Longleaf Elementary has been named a Participating School by the MAC (Mississippi Arts Commission). We have many professional development opportunities for our teachers to attend. We will be integrating arts in our classroom and throughout the school to allow our students to deepen their knowledge and learning experiences.

Space Camp

Longleaf 2nd grade students had lots of fun at Space Camp! The students learned all about space through arts integrated activities! As I walked through the 2nd grade hall, I felt as if I had landed on Mars! The halls were decorated to look like outer space! The costumes that the teachers and kids created were out of this world! I saw everything from astronauts to aliens!
