Longleaf Elementary has been named a Participating School by the MAC (Mississippi Arts Commission). We have many professional development opportunities for our teachers to attend. We will be integrating arts in our classroom and throughout the school to allow our students to deepen their knowledge and learning experiences.

Third Annual Longleaf Family Arts Night

Longleaf Family Arts Night was so much fun! Students and families had fun viewing the student art show, bidding on items at the Local Artist Silent Auction, and participating in fun arts experiences! The theme for the arts experiences was...Famous Illustrators!

The Student Art Show was amazing! We have so many talented artists at Longleaf!

We had so many beautiful art pieces at the Local Artist Silent Auction! We would like to thank all of the local artists who donated their art!

The Student Raffle was a big hit! The lucky winner got to take home this basket of art supplies! Cool!

The Arts Experiences were so much fun!

The Collage Experience was inspired by Eric Carle's tissue paper art!

The Photography Experience and the Drawing Experience were inspired by Dr. Seuss!

The Painting Experience was inspired by Peter H. Reynold's book, The Dot!
Our kiddos created some pretty interesting dots!
The Pottery Experience was inspired by Leo Lionni's book, Frederick

The kids made cute little mice!

The Dance Experience was inspired by Pete the Cat!

We watched a performance by our award-winning show choir, Limelight!
